Jews like me . . .

I have proposed a demonstration of Jews who oppose Benjamin Netanyahu's appearance at Congress in March. Not talking the predictable kind of BDS anti-Zionist cum anti-Semites (the Zionism equals racism crowd.)

Talking Jews like me, who want to say: go home Bibbi!

How dare you?

Jews like me who oppose the sick/sickening alliance of rightwing republicans and  rightwing Israelis.

Jews like me who think the Israel lobby per se less influential in the end than the republican pro-Israel contingent.

Jews like me who are aware of and fear resurgent anti-Semitism but also fear the likes of Bibi Netnanyahu.

Jews like me who think Bibi had absolutely every right to march in Paris but no right to butt in against Obama in the U.S. Congress.

***

I've reconsidered my previous idea and resolved it's far too sane.

Better Jews like me hand out leaflets saying: We are authentic honest-to-goodness Goyim who believe an Israeli war with Iran  — Migod v. Bygod, Godamn v. Hotdamn, Gog v. Gag, Hotcha v. Gotcha — will bring on the Rapture extra shnell (Yiddish for fast).

Come Bibi Come!

The Rapturati love you!

  1. Bibi can come. Nothing will change. Obama will not react.

  2. Any politician who receives such an invite will come, what else? What he can say, vs. what he would say, that is another issue. It would have been better if no such invite took place, but now just before elections in Israel, the platform is ready, he will happy to appear before the house and do his thing. Perhaps some other thing will happen in between that will change the course of his talk, perhaps he would find peace somewhere in his mind, perhaps he would utter words that mean the end to occupation, a real plan as to how to do so... perhaps all his war words will just disappear, one by one, until he forgets all about that, and remembers what it means to be human, and a different kind of Jew too.

    I appreciate your davenning but:

Bibbi will be here to make love to the republican, especially the Christian, right. He's done it before.

You're stuck with him in eretz. (Wish you'd keep him there.)

Odds are he'll be beating the drum for war on Iran, when, so I read, even his own military — not just, say, Haaretz — is saying U.S. negotiations with Teheran are necessary and should go on.

Do Israeli's like this? Do they think Netanyahu is as important as he thinks he is and that flying in the face of an American president will make him more important?

Now, I think the demo I've been contemplating should come int two parts:

Part one, here: Bibi go home!

Part two, in eretz: Bibi don't go!
